In consonance with the initiative of the National Council of Educational Research and Training (Ministry of Education, Government of India) and advancement in technology and availability of qualitative internet facilities even in the remotest corner of the country at affordable rates, the core concept of teaching and learning is witnessing a paradigm shift form age-old traditional teaching practices at Physical Schools.
With rising demands for quality education to compete in fast-pace changing environments across various segments of human life ranging from successfully managing the stress and pressure in personal life to competing and exceling in their professional life in the society both at national and international level, there is an imminent requirement to explore the other available options in the field of education for providing qualitative and international standard teaching practices, since the deficiency and shortcomings in educational infra-structure is too obvious to ignore.
Coupled with the recent phenomena of pandemics causing large scale lock-downs, it has forced the teaching industry to devise ways and means of online teaching to keep pace with pressure of completing the syllabus in given time-frame.
The Government of India through its policy guidelines in NEP is encouraging Online teaching and e-learning to cater for the shortfall of Physical Schools and rise in demand for quality education to keep pace with requirements of technologically changing world.
⦁ Rosewood Academy envisions to redefine learning experience for the stakeholders and intend to make the entire schooling experience in a bouquet full of meaningful, truthful and practical education for the students.
⦁ In tune with current guidelines of New Education Policy (NEP) of 5+3+3+4 of schooling, we endeavor to provide online education to Middle School (3 Years form Class 6th to 8th for age 11 to 14 Years) and Secondary School (4 years from Class 9th to 12th for age 14 to 18 Years).
⦁ Our focus would be on enhancing and enriching students with 21st Century Skills based on essential learning, practical and critical thinking.
⦁ Deviation from fixed streamline of subjects viz. Science, Commerce & Humanities and in turn incorporating a mix of all the subjects for a student to select for enhancement of their cognitive capabilities and choice of career/goal in life.
⦁ The curriculum other than Mathematics and English (based on US Curriculum) would be as per NCFSE 2020-21 (national Curricular Framework For School Education) created by NCERT as defined in NEP.
⦁ We intend to replace summative assessment by regular and formative assessments, which would be competency based assessment to enhance student’s development and learning skills and enhance their analytical, critical, and conceptual thinking catering for development of creative potential of each student.
⦁ We endeavor to create an academic environment with an aim to develop good human beings capable of rational thought and action, possessing compassion and empathy, courage and resilience, scientific temper and creative imagination, with sound ethical moorings and values.
⦁ We endeavor to provide special segments and coaching platforms for pursuing hobbies in sports, music, dance, literature, adventure activities, life skills, meditation, yoga, art & culture etc. for students to pursue in their free time (other than online classes) for better utilisation of their time and skills.
⦁ The School will have various counselors and life coaches to assist students and parents in coping with the stress and choices to be made in selecting subjects and subsequent career in their later life.
